The holidays bring a lot of family and friends to your door. And sometimes they just “pop” in. When they do that I don’t really have time to make some good holiday appetizers from scratch so I need to come up with something on the fly. Thankfully my Walmart frozen food section is stocked full of delicious appetizers and I am able to stock up for those impromptu visits. One of my favorites is Rich’s SeaPak Spring Rolls.
I heat up the deep fryer and throw some in while I make my sweet and spicy plum sauce. Suddenly my kitchen is a hub of activity as we break open the wine and talk while they are whipping up. Everyone loves my sweet and spicy plum sauce and you wont believe how easy it is to make! But just because this is an impromptu party doesn’t mean I just slap these bad boys on a paper plate and go about my business. No, these delectable spring rolls deserve a better presentation than that!
I am really into vintage dishes and serving plates. While thrift shopping a few weeks ago I came upon this awesome appetizer tray and dip cup. I was really excited to finally get to use it and got several compliments on it. It was so easy to stack the spring rolls on it and add the dip to the cup. Everyone just helped themselves and I could enjoy great conversation with my friends and family.
I was really excited to see that Rich’s SeaPak Spring Rolls was named by Ladies Home Journal as one of the 15 best frozen appetizers. And they hit the nail on the head by saying they tasted fresh. If my friends hadn’t seen me take them out of the freezer they would have sworn they were homemade or I bought them at our local Asian restaurant.
Still not convinced? Well you can try them for yourselves December 8th when Walmarts all over the country will be having live demos. I encourage you to go and see how Rich’s SeaPak Spring Rolls can save you a lot of time on your holiday appetizers!
