One of my favorite gifts to give during the holidays is candy treats. Mainly because the holidays is the one time you can really get your candy loving on without people looking at you like you are a two ton cow. I especially enjoy giving away speciality treats that you can’t get any other time of the year. Moonstruck Chocolate Co. has some amazing ones in their collection this year and I HAD to tell you guys about them!
Holiday Collection- $10.00 -Four festive holiday truffles make up this holiday themed collection, featuring the Candy Cane Truffle, Gingerbread Snowman Truffle, Bittersweet Christmas Tree Truffle and Milk Gift Truffle.
My favorite was the Gingerbread. I had never had gingerbread in a truffle before but it was amazing! They were all really good and I loved how the chocolate crackled when you bit into it!
Mr. & Mrs. Claus Collection – $15 Santa is back with his sweet missus, making this four-piece his and hers set complete! Mrs. Claus features a milk chocolate toffee and Mr. Claus returns with our classic milk chocolate ganach, hand-made from start to finish.
How could you not love these? First off all they are super cute! Secondly, they are chocolate! The hand painted details are just amazing ( I could never do that) and they would make a great holiday gift!
Holiday Cocktails Collection – $20-A collection of truffles inspired by a festive season! Three flavors reminiscent of popular holiday cocktails, including the delectable Hot Toddy, Mulled Wine and Hot Buttered Rum truffles.
UnfortunatelyI did not get to sample these, I sampled the 4 piece Holiday Liqueur collection. But I can say the liqueur collection was my FAVORITE out of all of them and I am sure the cocktails taste as good! Especially the hot buttered rum truffles. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!
Moonstruck Chocolates are available at select retail locations and fine grocers across the country, at the four Portland based Moonstruck Chocolate Café’s and online at www.moonstruckchocolate.com. Holiday orders must be placed by Dec. 21 to ensure Christmas Eve delivery.
