We took Avery to Red Lobster for her birthday a few years ago and it is one of her favorite birthday memories. So when I found out that Red Lobster was doing endless shrimp again I decided it would make a great lunch. So we hopped in the car and headed down to our favorite Red Lobster.
It was really quite for a Saturday afternoon which surprised me. Usually it is rather busy. We were seated quickly and our server was polite, perhaps a little aloof. We didn’t look at the menu because we already knew what we wanted. Several minutes later our server came back and we ordered. Our food came out at a steady pace after that. The endless shrimp items are- Garlic Shrimp Scampi ,Hand Breaded Shrimp, Shrimp Alfredo, and the new Spicy Soy Wasabi. Red Lobster’s Facebook page declares they added Coconut Shrimp Bites, Popcorn Shrimp, and Garlic-Grilled Shrimp. We were not offered any of those choices.
We were very excited to try out the new Spicy Soy Wasabi shrimp. We all three ordered it our first go round. I am not sure if they ran out of Wasabi or what happened, but it wasn’t spicy at all. All we could taste was the soy sauce and it had a slight burned taste to it. We were very disappointed but decided not to let it ruin our meal.
We all three agreed that the Garlic Shrimp Scampi was our favorite. It was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. I am not sure who our chef was for that but whoever it was they deserved props. I am ashamed to admit I had 2 servings of the garlic buttery goodness.
We also tried the Shrimp Alfredo and we figured out this was a filler. It was the largest serving by far and it was heavy on the sauce, pretty light on the shrimp. If you finished one serving of this you would be to full to eat more, pretty sneaky Red Lobster 
But we still enjoyed it and took our left overs home to eat the next day.
All in all it was a fantastic birthday lunch for Avery. I got to spend some quality time with my girls and make more memories.
Endless Shrimp
Endless Shrimp is only offered for a short time. It is $15.99 per person. Even if it is over in your area I would still make a trip to your local restaurant. They always have wonderful specials going on and a night out with the family is a great way to make some special memories!
