I receive the Chinese Tea Sampler from Enjoying Tea. Inside this beautiful sampler was the following teas:
- Yunnan Black Tea, (Dianhong)
- Keemun Black Tea, (Qihong)
- Jasmine Dragon Pearl, (Imperial Long Chu)
- Chun Mee Green Tea
- Dragon Well Green Tea, (Lung Ching)
- Wuyi Rock Tea, (Wuyi Wulong)
- Anxi Benshan Wulong
- Silver Needle White Tea, (Bai Hao Yinzhen)
The two I tried was Yunnan Black Tea and Jasmine Dragon Pearl. The Jasmine Dragon Pearl was tried hot. It has a soft floral fragrance and the tea leaves start as pearls. After steeping they turned into these gorgeous full tea leaves. I normally steep my tea in a pot and then strain. To me it gives you a fuller and better steeped tea. The tea was floral tasting with sweet undertones. I did not add any sugar or cream and found that it definitely stood alone.
The second, Yunnan Black Tea, was iced. I started out with my infuser pitcher ( more on this product on another day) and in my infuser I placed 2tbsp. of the Yunnan Black, 1/4 teaspoon of cloves, and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon. I let it sit for 24 hours to infuse the water and then I added my second infuser attachment and added slices of orange and lemon. I lit it sit for about 6 hours and had an amazing pitcher of iced tea. The Yunnan Black was perfect for iced tea and made Lipton Tea look weak.
I have not tried the other flavors but the two I have tried really were awesome. They tasted great and I think any true tea lover or a novice tea lover would like them. The tea leaves are fresh and steeping is super easy.
