When Tiffany, owner of Thought Spots, approached me about doing a review of her product; I was intrigued. I immediately clicked the link and started reading about them and what their purpose was. Before you click off the post thinking it is just another review, please don’t. I have a personal story, well stories really, on why I wanted to review these inspiring spots.
I have said it a hundred times, I am a single Mom. The girls father is non-existent and pays minimal child support. In order to make ends even meet I have to work and work really hard. Some days I don’t have much time to tell my girls or really anyone how I feel about them. That is why I was so intrigued with these. They gave me another way to speak to those I love.

My Mom
My Mom is a huge part of my life and sometimes I don’t tell her how I feel about her. Me of all people should know how precious life is and how sometimes it can be over quickly. When I was looking through my thought spots shipment I saw this one and it immediately made me think of her. I do appreciate my Mom so much. Not only as she taught me so many things but she has been my rock. She never once made me feel bad for having to move back in with two more mouths to feed. She is my cheerleader, my confident, and most of all my best friend. I didn’t tell her the sticker was there, I just let her find it on her bathroom mirror. The look of happiness and excitement was worth the entire review. She felt special and to me that was what was important. Because she is special.
My Kids
Avery
If you have been reading the blog for awhile you know that a knife was pulled on Avery and she was threatened. She has not stepped back into school since and I am homeschooling her. It has been a very difficult road, especially for her. She feels like she is the one being punished even though she was the victim. They let the girl come back to school and Avery knew as long as she was there she would never feel safe. I stuck this on her laptop so that everytime she goes to do her school work or just play a game, she remembers that I believe in her. Because I do with all my heart. Avery has had a life in her short 13 years that most don’t have in their entire lifetime. I know she is going to be something special and I want her to believe that also.
Roxy
Roxy loves her music and even though she has an iPod and an iPad she still listens to CD’s on her CD player. I am so proud of Roxy. She also overcame a serious case of bullying and instead of letting it rule her life she used it to her advantage. She is a 9th grader this year and goes to an elite magnet program for Agricultural Science. My girl has big dreams and wants to develop a non-lethal cure for modern warfare using plant extracts. Yeah, I don’t understand it either but she does, and I guess that is all that counts. She is an amazing student and smarter than I will ever be. I chose this thought spot because I wanted her to remember every single day how proud I am of her.
Me
This is my thought spot. I chose it because this is what I need to remind myself every day. I need to remember that I am strong and whatever comes my way I can handle it. I almost quit blogging a few months ago. I really felt that Dishin’ wasn’t going anywhere and I wasn’t engaging people. It seemed like the only time I had good interaction was when I had a giveaway and that made me sad. But then I noticed that when I posted people were reading and I didn’t want to quit. So I kept going, but it is a daily struggle, like with any job. Every time I look at my planner I remember I am strong. That little sticker is what gave me the courage to finally start my Foodie Blog and I am so happy for that. It also helps me remember that I am strong enough to weather the storms that comes my way.
Motivate
We all need a little motivation and inspiration in our lives. Sometimes we forget who we truly are or maybe even those around us. Our words can escape us and so can time. One day you wake up a little and you are like, Wow, where did the time go. I am almost 38 years old and when I see young mothers I tell them; Remember to inspire, motivate, and most of all believe in your kids. They are only on loan to us for a short time and sooner than you think they are off and living their own life, being an inspiration to others.
