It is no secret that I love coffee and most mornings I am more than happy to stick my head under the Keurig and just let the coffee drain in. So when Booskerdoo asked me if I would like to sample their coffee, I hesitated and then was like “Duh! Of course I do!” Okay, I really didn’t say it like that because above all I am a professional but I did jump at the chance.
I waited patiently ( seriously, I was not pulling my hair out and screaming at the mailman “Where is my coffee??” and if anyone says I did, they are a Liar!) and finally the day came and it was here. But I was not happy as you might expect. I was freaked out because it was whole bean. I have never worked with whole bean coffee. I have a coffee bar with every coffee item imaginable and it would make Starbucks jealous, but no grinder! True story! For a split second I thought about just sitting down with the bag and eating the beans like candy but common sense prevailed when I thought about the caffeine overdose and how it makes you feel. So after a little bit of deliberation I decided to use the Ninja. BEST IDEA EVER! I had fresh coffee in 10 seconds and 30 seconds later it was a bubbling and brewing in my Keurig. Life was good again, and I was a happy girl.
So what coffee drink did I make with this heavenly coffee? A cafe Mocha of course!
I will never go back to ground coffee again. If I had known how much better fresh ground beans tasted, I would have been using them all the time. Booskerdoo really raises the bar because they don’t sit in a warehouse for months. They roast them, put them in a bag and ship them to you. Coffee tastes best the first week after it is roasted and that is the TRUTH!
My favorite is the black and tan, which goes perfect with chocolate. It’s a mix of specialty grade Honduras SHG (the dark) and Fair Trade Organic Mexico Chiapas (the light). Also known as the “Danish Blend” or “Checker Blend” it has a strong kick, nougat overtones, and a silky body. I am in love with it and treat myself to a cup of it every morning. It is the best way to start the day and I know I will be a customer for life. Just look at how heavenly these beans look:
If you don’t have a coffee grinder don’t hesitate to order this coffee! They will grind it for you if you ask them. A bag of this coffee, a cute mug and a coffee grinder would be an awesome gift.
