When you think Summer you think grilling and grilling means BBQ and BBQ means KC Masterpiece. I love when it is time to break out the grill because that means good food ( and good times) is coming. We don’t use electric here even though we have one. We also have a gas grill but that is gathering dust. We are charcoal all the way. It just gives your food that smokey flavor that gas and electric can’t give it.
I partnered up with DataRank and KC Masterpiece to bring you one of my favorite BBQ Sauces- Sweet and Spicy. But this isn’t your usual sweet and spicy sauce. You won’t find brown sugar here. Nope, I use a special ingredient! I did receive compensation for this post but regardless, this is the best BBQ sauce you will ever eat.
This BBQ sauce is very easy to make. Since you are using KC Masterpiece Original BBQ sauce you only need a few ingredients!
KC Masterpiece Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauce
This recipe will coat at least 5-6 pieces of chicken.
Pre-heat your oven at 400 degrees and spray a baking dish.
Dump 1/2 of your bottle of KC Masterpiece Original in a small bowl. Add 2 tsp of garlic, 2 tsp dried onion and my super special ingredient- 1/4 cup of Spicy Plum Chutney. Mine comes from The Virginia Chutney company but you can get it in most organic stores or on the web.
Whisk it all together really good. Lay your chicken in the baking dish
Since we are using chicken I recommend using a spoon to cover your chicken with the sauce. I am not a fan of using a brush because I don’t want the germs to linger. But you use whatever you are most comfortable with and cover that chicken good…real good!
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until chicken is completely cooked!
