The Holidays are coming! The Holidays are coming! Ok, I will shut up now before you shoot me! But they really are coming and despite the fact so many people are upset that Christmas is already being pushed and it’s not even Thanksgiving, you and I know we have to prepare. I am always looking for unique ideas for the holidays. Also, I have a fascination with black and white food goodies. They just seem so classy and beautiful. And, I love for people to think I am classy, like caviar and champagne classy. But it’s our little secret that I am really tailgate and beer classy.

My parents go to this small church and sometimes people bring in goodies to eat after church. I wanted to make something classy for them to bring. So I thought, why not do two-toned cupcakes? But doing them is hard and well, I didn’t know how. Thankfully Batter Babies came to the rescue and made it easy peasy for me to make these cute cupcakes!

Batter Babies are cake batter separators made specifically for cupcakes. With them, you can make half & half cupcakes - either flavor or color combinations. Made of a food-grade plastic, they are reusable and dishwasher safe. And, they are so easy to use even my girls can do it! All you do is place the little divider in your cupcake holder, fill one half one flavor and fill the other half another flavor. After you get the pan full, remove them carefully and you have two toned cupcakes! Now, I am not going to lie, I had a couple of issues and I wanted to let you guys know.

  1. They didn’t fit my pan. When I inserted them, they flopped over, so I had to hold them up to get my pan filled. That wasn’t hard, per say, but it did get a little messy. I think they would work better in silicone cups.
  2. You have to be really careful when removing them or you will get one flavor streaked in the other.

But those things were minor and something I could overcome. I love Batter Babies and will use them a lot this holiday season. I can’t wait to make red and green cupcakes, as well as blue and white cupcakes. They are going to be so pretty.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
