There is something sinful about Chocolate. It’s rich, creamy texture melts nicely in your mouth. After indulging in a piece you usually feel some type of euphoria that makes you forget whatever bad feelings you were having before hand.  Afterwards though some type of guilt usually sets in. You could feel bad about the amount of calories you consumed or about putting some type “artificial” something in your body. I found Nicobella surfing the web when I was looking for Chocolate. Yes, I do that quite often and no, I am not ashamed of it. I really loved the fact their products were not only organic, healthy for you, and supposedly delicious but also animal cruelty free. We highly endorse those type of products here at Dishin’. All of those qualities were wonderful and I was impressed but it wasn’t until I saw this

that I knew we were destined to work together. If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know I am a chocolate lover, especially dark chocolate. I also feel it should have it’s own food group so I don’t feel bad about indulging in it. Guess what? Nichole has that covered too! Nicobella is full of antioxidants, made with whole food ingredients, and their truffles are half the calories and sugar as regular truffles. Hello Nicobella, where have you been all my life!

As if that isn’t awesome enough, a portion of the proceeds goes to their favorite animal organizations: The Gentle Barn, Noah’s Ark, Mercy for Animals, and The Humane Society.

What I Received

I received the Munch 3 Pack and the Truffle Sampler pack. The munch 3 pack has 3 -2 oz. bags of 3 different flavors- Mama, Coco-nut, and Maple Nut. The sampler truffle package had blueberry almond, ginger green tea, pumpkin chai, pure cocoa bliss, walnut flaxseed and sunflower butter banana.

My Review

Mama Munch- Expecting moms need more omega-3 fatty acids, protein and fiber during pregnancy. mama munch was developed with the special nutritional needs of pregnant women in mind, but can be enjoyed by everyone. Organic and Fair Trade 75% Kallari dark chocolate is blended with crunchy candied walnuts and toasted flax to provide you with a rich natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, lignans, protein, fiber, and antioxidants. This decadent yet wholesome treat is the perfect blend of crunchy chocolatey goodness.

This was delicious. The candied walnuts gave it a really great crunch and the toasted flax gave it a great texture. The Kallari dark chocolate was simply amazing. I had to stop myself from eating the whole bag in one sitting.

Coco-Nut Munch- Kallari dark chocolate, toasted coconut & roasted almonds in our fun and eco-friendly 2 oz rice paper bag. Coco-nut munch is a scrumptious healthy snack made with organic, Fair Trade 75% Kallari dark chocolate, unsweetened toasted coconut and whole roasted almonds. Trust us, you will not want to share a piece of this yummy treat.

The unflavored coconut gave this an interesting texture but was not overpowering. There was a lot more nuts than chocolate but for some reason you don’t mind that. It gives you a chance to taste the other flavors, giving you an all around satisfying treat.

Do your taste buds love sweet & salty? Then you will love maple-nut munch!

This was my favorite. I love sweet and salty. I will admit the first bite had a little more salt than I liked but I tried another place and the blend was just perfect. I loved the sweet of the maple roasted pecans and the saltiness of the sea salt. I also liked how it was big chunks, like a candy bar that had been chopped up.

Truffle Sampler Pack- Each truffle assortment contains our 6-piece variety box of truffles (blueberry almond, ginger green tea, pumpkin chai, pure cocoa bliss, walnut flaxseed, sunflower butter banana). Wrapped in an elegant box that hints at their decadence, you may find it hard to share this 6-piece sampler!

My absolute favorite was the Pumpkin Chai. It had the most amazing pumpkin flavor with the right amount of spice. If felt like eating a chocolate pumpkin fancy drink– in a truffle. Amaaaaazing!
