I have been busy making Christmas gifts for family, friends, teachers and even our mail lady! One of my favorite treats to make is Oreo Cookie Balls! They only require 3 ingredients and you can also add flavorings for an extra special treat. My favorite extracts to add are Peppermint, Cherry, and Blackberry. Sometimes I add a little rum too but shhh don’t tell anyone that. Really, the flavor combinations are endless. I dip them in high quality melted chocolate and then top with sprinkles, nuts or anything that is handy. Peppermint is also a favorite! Some other ideas are:
- Substitute white chocolate and roll them in coconut to create mini snowballs
- Add crushed candy canes for a minty flair
- Pretzel antlers anyone? Create your own squadron of reindeer

I like to gift mine in festive boxes but I have found that they need to be packed with care. Here is how I package mine for safe transport:
- Cut a piece of bubble wrap to fix the bottom of your box.
- Cut parchment paper to a size that covers the bubble wrap and hangs over the sides, allowing you to fold it back over to cover the cookie balls.
- After your cookie balls are completely set up place them in the box with enough space in between so they don’t touch each other. This is VERY important if you are mixing white chocolate and chocolate in the same box. I have been known to cut cardboard dividers. Lift the sides up and cover the cookie balls and then add another piece of bubble wrap. Place your lid on.
- Don’t forget to add your tag that says -Made By_____________ . I also put a little Christmasy Fragile, Handle With Care on it.
Everyone likes homemade goodies and with this simple and easy treats you will be the star of gift giving! Just be careful because once people try them, they want more!

Your pretty gift needs a cute little label and I whipped some up in PicMonkey. You can print them on full label sheets ( I use these HERE) and cut them out. To save the full size image, open it in a new tab and click save as.
