Things have been really crazy here at Casa Rebelle and I have not been able to spend time with my girls like I want. Also, money has been tight and even though we all wanted to go see Oz, the money just wasn’t there. So what is a Mom to do when she is busy and tight on funds? Have a movie night in of course!
Of course when you have a movie night in you have to have essentials. Our essentials are:
- A good movie ( of course)
- Popcorn and Candy
- A huge bed we can all fit on ( thank god for queen size)
- Drinks ( preferably in a lidded container to combat spills)
- Plenty of pillows for the bed so we can all be comfortable
I know that since I said money was tight you have to be wondering about the popcorn and candy. Thankfully I am huge CVS shopper. I always use my Extra Care Rewards card which saves me a bundle. Sometimes my rewards even allows me to shop for free. Who doesn’t like free? Plus their Gold Emblem line gives me the best snack options for way cheaper than the grocery store.
We did a movie night date over the weekend and watched The Lord of the Rings. That is one of mine and Avery’s favorite movies but Roxy hadn’t seen it yet. Boooo! We settled down on the bed and let Netflix work its magic on the Xbox. We had plenty of treats including popcorn, Neon gummy crawlers, and Avery’s favorite red fish. Once we had our snacks and sodas we settled in to watch the movie. As much as I loved the look at all the treats, I munched on raw almonds because they were good for me and tasted really good.
I love spending time with my girls. They always have me in fits of giggles. They are not perfect and have their issues like any teenager but to me they are pretty awesome. I know in a few years they will be gone to college and living their life but I still want them to have good memories. I hope our little movie nights in will be a treasured memory for them when they are far from home and maybe missing me.
Want to win the snack package above for your next movie night? Entering is really easy! Leave a comment below telling me whether or not you have purchased from the Gold Emblem Line at CVS. If you have, what is your favorite snack? If not, which product from the above picture are you most excited to try?
