Valentine's Day Tree

As I have said many times, Nana Helen loves to go all out for Christmas. She just loves Christmas and most of the time is sad that she has to take down all the decorations. This year she decided to recycle her miniature trees and make them a decoration for Valentine’s Day. Nana Helen also has an affection for Valentine’s Day because that is when her and Pop Albert got married. This year they will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, so we are going all out!

These trees were not at all expensive to decorate. All the decorations ( minus the Tweeties) came from the dollar tree. The big red hearts are actually lights. We bought some valentine sticks and peppered them through out the tree to give them a little more color. Then we added garland and string lights ( also from the Dollar Tree). At night they look so pretty lighting up the dining room and in a way we still have a bit of Christmas in our home. Top it off with a pretty topper and you have a sweet Valentine’s Day Tree that is not only pretty but inexpensive!

  1. [...] This actually sealed it for me. My Canon does not have video capabilities, which means if I want video I have to grab my phone to take video. Which is okay, except when the phone is dead and I need video now. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video. I will definitely recommend that you have a steady hand and move slowly. Otherwise you get terrible camera shake. I really loved that all I had to to do was press a button and presto! I was recording. Here is a sample video showing you Nana Helen’s Valentine Trees. [...]
