I received free admission to the blogger conference from The Blog Workshop to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100% my own.
If you read my posts HERE and HERE you already know I was attending an online blogging conference. If you read the second post, you will know I was just a tad worried about attending The Blog Workshop. Well I did attend it and it was AWESOME! I learned so much and met so many great new people. It was a little hard because I am shy but it was fun watching the ladies chatter away and I didn’t totally not talk. I said some stuff, okay not a lot, but hey, someone had to be the wall flower. And!! I won a fabulous prize that included 6 months of Cloud Swipe, Subjekt headphones, and a $25 gift card. How freaking awesome is that?
The conference was Presented by Da Vinci ( who is really as amazing as I thought she would be) owner of Your Life After 25. She was fun and kept us pumped up in between speakers. Some of the topics included:
- SEO
- Working With Brands
- Copyrights
- Affiliations
- Ad Networking
- Networking
And that my friend is just the tip of the ice berg. We tweeted using the hashtag #TBWC13 and trended all 3 nights ( listen up brands, that is what happens when you get a group of bloggers together!) and I am telling you tips were flying all over Twitter. Some of my favorites of the weekend were:
It was an amazing weekend and the speakers were awesome. I really enjoyed Dan R. Morris and Crystal Duncan. Rohit Vashisht from Sverve was there also and he was sort of like the rock star of the conference. I learned so much from all of them, but I think the biggest thing I learned is I have been doing this all wrong. Networking wrong, posting wrong and approaching things wrong. I have a huge to do list and can’t wait to tackle it.
If you have never attended an online blogging conference I highly recommend you attend The Blog Workshop next year. I know next year is going to be even better and I am counting down the days!
