Before we get into all the specifics about this AMAZING blender and my SUPER AMAZING recipe ( a cranberry almond smoothie that will knock your socks off), I have serious news! I am a Hamilton Beach Ambassador! YAY! I am so excited to be working with Hamilton Beach and bringing you all the awesome products they have to offer. Even though I am an ambassador you can rest assured that all my reviews will be honest and up front. You guys are my loyal readers and I value your trust! But again, can I just say, YAY!

The first product I got to try out was the Smoothie Smart Blender. This little blender gives you the ability to make smoothies, milkshakes and other slushie drinks at a touch of a button. It is fairly compact and doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, which was a huge plus for me. It has a lot of great features that makes it a great choice for someone that wants smoothies but not a big, bulky and expensive machine.

Smoothie Smart Blender Specs:

  • Lets you blend the perfect smoothie for breakfast, lunch or dessert
  • One touch of the Auto Smoothie button activates the smart, 45-second blending cycle with pulsing action to crush ice, low-speed mixing and high speed for final smooth results
  • When your perfect smoothie is ready, the Smoothie Smart™ Blender automatically shuts off, preventing over-blending
  • Equipped with 5 blending functions including pulse, ice crush, mix and puree
  • Ice Sabre™ blades and 700 watts of peak power provide excellent ice-crushing performance
  • 40 oz. patented Wave~Action®: glass jar won’t absorb food odors, stain or scratch
  • Patented no-mess pouring spout eliminates drips and dribbles
  • Easy-clean smooth touchpad
  • Dishwasher safe jar, blades and lid
  • Cord storage area underneath base

The auto smoothie function allows you to throw in your ingredients, push the button, and then walk away. It is perfect for those busy mornings when you are trying to get ready and don’t have time to stand there watching it. It gives you a healthy and nutritious drink that you can drink on the go. You can also crush ice to make sno-cones and even make pureed hot and cold soups. My favorite is making milkshakes, yeah they can be healthy too. Especially when you make them with yummy greek frozen yogurt. But it is also fast because all you do is hit the milkshake button for about 20 seconds and you have an awesome milkshake.

I really loved this blender but I did have just a few cons. First, the blades are kind of small. While it does crush ice, sometimes you have to jiggle the canister to get everything evenly spaced and then continue crushing. Also, it is really loud. If you have others in the house that like to sleep in you may not want to use this because it will wake them up. Those were the only two issues I had with it. I use it a lot in the mornings and love the fact I have a smoothie ready to go when I am.

Thank you very much for this wonderful recipe Bobbie! I am always looking for tasty, healthy smoothie recipes and almond butter smoothies are my favorite. I usually make a vegan version with almond milk or coconut milk. Have never had them with cranberries though. Can’t wait to try this.

Thank you so much for your comment :) Actually I made this with Almond milk but I know not everyone likes almond milk, so I just stuck with regular milk. I must say though it tasted wonderful. I made more almond butter than I needed so I added the cranberries to it and it was a very nice afternoon snack on rice cakes. If you try it, please come back and let me know how you liked it!

I did try it and I loved it Bobbie! I actually did not have fresh cranberries on hand, so I made it with frozen acai berries and a mixture of almond milk and coconut milk and that turned out wonderful, too. I still have to try the cranberry version.
