You may notice I didn’t post last week. It was because I had a terrible tooth abscess since February 4th. I am happy to say I feel much better and I am finally able to eat without feeling like I was going to die. Surviving on Jello and Vegetable broth is no fun what-so-ever. Which brings me to my question in the title of this post. People ask me “Are you tired of the food yet?” I would be lying if I said I wasn’t. Like I said in an earlier post you find what you like and kind of stick to it. However, that means you eat it all the time and like anything else you do all the time, you get tired of it. But you need to ask yourself what is more important? Becoming healthier by losing weight and eating better, or eating everything you want when you want it? I choose to eat better and be healthier.
That doesn’t mean I don’t get tired. I do get tired of drinking so much water my eyes float, eating tuna or chicken salad every day for lunch, and eating vegetables every night for dinner but it is worth it. It is worth it every time I step on that scale and can be proud of myself. Everyone wants to make a change. I see so many people complaining about their weight or saying they want to get healthier but they never take the time to see it happen. They continue down the same road they always go expecting a different outcome. It is like a mouse in a maze that keeps hitting the wall because he always takes the same turn. If you don’t change your course your destination will always be the same. You have to realize it sucks, you are going to get tired, and you are going to want to quit but you also need to realize that every milestone you reach will make it all worth it in the end.
The good news I lost another 5lbs. Bad news is I am not sure if it is because I couldn’t eat or because of Nutrisystem. I like to think it is both and I am determined to keep it off!
