Yesterday I spent a good deal of the time huddled in the corner, with my arms around my knees, and mumbling to myself. For the last 30+ years one thing has been certain, I am not a big fan of pumpkin and avoid it if I can. A few weeks back I told you about the pumpkin mousse my mother made and it made me rethink pumpkin. But that was a one time thing, right? Then I received in the mail some Torani Syrups. One was Pumpkin Pie, eh, and the other was Vanilla Bean. To be honest I was going to use the vanilla but after doing inventory I realized the only things I had on hand went with pumpkin. I sighed really loud and then got to work.
If you are my friend on Facebook you know my Mom surprised me with a Keurig and of course when using my Torani Syrups I had to use it! I decided to make a Pumpkin Pie coffee with Cinnamon Sugar sprinkle topping. It was super simple to make and very yummy!
I used the Donut Coffee and made it in the Keurig. Then I added a couple splashes of Pumpkin Pie by Torani, a little nutmeg, a little cinnamon, and then stirred it all together. I added whip cream to the top and sprinkled it with a cinnamon sugar. I tried to get my Mom to taste it but she was MIA, so it left me. I took a sip and WOW! It was so delish! Then, then it happened. My world turned upside down. I liked two different pumpkin foods in under a month. How could that be possible? If it was possible then what other yummy pumpkin recipes have I been missing? Has the terrible, overcooked pumpkin pies my Grandmother made turn me away from something that could possibly be, good? It was enough to make my mind short circuit and as hard as I tried I just could not come up with an explanation! Oh Torani pumpkin pie, what have you done to me!
