Somewhere there is a rule that states you have to feed your kids every single day. Nobody can tell me where this rule is written, but people swear it is there. So every day I hear “Mom, what is for dinner.” and all I can think is “Am I done feeding you yet? How many years until you turn 18?” I am just kidding but even though I love to cook and eat, sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking dinner. Especially if I have been in the kitchen all day working on a recipe for the blog. ( AKA, a lot of taste testing). On those days I want something quick and easy, like a family favorite- Pepperoni Pizza Lasagna.
It was that kind of day Saturday, so I headed to Walmart to shop for the ingredients! I do a lot of shopping at Walmart because it is a cheaper option in this community. Plus I know I will always find what I am looking for, like Tyson Pepperoni! Yum!
A little birdie told me that there was going to be a demo that day for Tyson pepperoni but when I got there, no demo. I am not sure what happened but I really didn’t need one, I knew what I was making. After the no demo I got started shopping. The ingredient list for Pizza Lasagna is not very long. All you need is:
- Lasagna Noodles
- Pizza Sauce ( 1 jar)
- Mushrooms( 1 13 oz can)
- Bacon ( Tyson Bacon Pieces)
- Garlic ( 2 tsp)
- Mozzarella Cheese ( 3 cups )
- Pepperoni ( Tyson Pepperoni, 1 package)
- A little parmesan cheese for sprinkling
In fact, I show you where to find everything in my Google+ Album.
I know sometimes Lasagna can take a lot of work, but as you can see below, this is easy peasy!
Gather all your ingredients:
Cook your lasagna according to package directions.
Second mix all of your sauce ingredients in a large bowl. ( Sauce, Bacon, Garlic and Mushrooms)
Give it a good stir. When your noodles are done, take them out of the pot, drain and rinse with cold water. Then place 3 of them in a 13 by 9 baking dish. Add some sauce on top.
Then throw some mozzarella on there!
Next top with some pepperoni! I use Tyson Pepperoni because it is 30% beef and doesn’t shrivel up like most pepperoni does. Plus it is around $2.50 a bag, making it a cheaper option that doesn’t sacrifice quality. You can find it in your Walmart refrigerated grocery section. Just beware, it is right next to the Tyson bacon pieces and well, you know you will be buying both like I did. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Continue doing that until you have the dish full. Cover that baby up with more mozzarella and pepperoni! Then sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top.
Pop it into a 400 degree oven for about 25 minutes and you have dinner! Yum!
See I told you it was simple! I use pepperoni in a lot of recipes like my pizza grilled cheese, pizza bites and my favorite, pizza bagels. By the way, don’t forget dessert! These Strawberry Cupcakes with Angel Butter Cream Icing or this Fudge Spoon Pie will do perfectly.

I’ve loved that pepperoni pizza lasagna recipe since Guy Fieri did it a few years ago. We only eat turkey pepperoni here, so I’m hoping Tyson has a turkey version, because now I’m dying to taste it!
