Valentine’s Day Cards- Mailed or E-mailed?

When I was younger I had to walk five miles in the snow with no shoes and jacket, no not really, just kidding. But seriously when I was younger Valentine’s Day Cards were the thing. Even when I got older we still exchanged Valentine’s Day Cards. There was just something so neat about getting one in the mail and hearing that someone loved you. Over the years the internet has changed the way we send cards. In fact a recent poll stated that 1 in 3 Americans were planning on sending an e-card this year for Valentine’s Day. Where is the love in that? I love browsing the card section and finding the perfect card. Regardless of how I feel about Valentine’s Day I still buy for my family and I buy real cards. I want them to have something they can feel, look at, and *gasp* keep somewhere besides their e-mail box.

Of course buying the perfect card doesn’t mean you have to leave the house. You can shop for the perfect card online. There is this amazing little card Etsy shop that has heart felt cards with an edge. They are simple, elegant, and modern. Whether you choose {Not sent from my iPhone} or You are Here <3, you are bound to find a card that will delight anyone that receives it.

Worried about the impact cards have on the environment? Well Red Letter Paper Co. is committed to being as green as possible. This card is printed on recycled paper and comes with a white envelope. Both pieces are FSC-certified and made carbon neutral while using 100% wind power. I know money is tight these days but these cards are relatively inexpensive. $5.00 gets you a beautiful keepsake for the love of your life ( the price quoted here includes the shipping, the more cards you buy the cheaper the shipping is.)

If quality is your thing then you won’t be disappointed. They are a nice heavy card stock and the print is just gorgeous. The color just jumps off the page and I love how the “important” part of the card was in red, making it stand out. They are blank on the inside so you can put your thoughtful message in there, making them more personalized. They do come with an envelope and I loved how on the back it had a little bible verse about love. I thought that made it even more unique.

In this digital age sending someone a card will be sure to delight them. Just seeing and holding it will bring a smile to their face and I am almost positive it will be something they will treasure, keeping it for years to come.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
